So since we live in Georgia and the weather was in the higher 70's today ..... we still get to ice skate ... it just has to be brought in! We went to the Savannah Civic Center "indoors" and actually got to go ice skating!! Addie was a little slow at first, but by the middle of our time there she said Ed and I could sit for awhile and she would just go by herself! She was doing perfect! We had a great time. Emily didn't go because she had to work, but she has already gone with friends and loved it as well.

Been awhile ....

Ok ~ so it's been a while since I've been on here and done any post. Not to say that we haven't been busy. I am going to do better at posting. I have some pictures that need to be uploaded and I'll try to catch everyone up on things. As for today ... we would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We are going to be staying in our new home for Christmas and then on the 28th we are planning on going to Kentucky for the week to spend time with family. Love to all ~ Ed, Jan, Emily and Addie

Confusing Day ....

Emily turns 19 today and this morning Addie started Kindergarten!!! I was so sad when I walked out of the school. I had my sunglasses on the whole time. I think she'll be fine, but why is it so hard the first day of Kindergarten for the Mom's.

My Sister and her family

So today is my birthday and last night Heather (my sister) and her family came up from Florida. Today they left for Seaworld and Universal Studios. They took Emily and left my niece Reese (whose 9 months) and their dog Roxie. We are going to meet up in Florida on their way home to do the change off with daughters and dog. We are looking forward to enjoying some good ole spoiling time with Reese. Tomorrow is Coast Guard day on the island - we are planning on going there and having a good time.

OK ... so here are some of our creatures! Addie is holding her box with the tree frog on top, then after he has escaped her. Also, Fluffy the dragon fly and last but not least one of our lizards. Can you find him in both pictures?

As I am sitting here right now, I am listening to the frogs out back and train on the tracks down the road. Every night we have frogs that like to come and visit us. They are out front on the porch and driveway and out back on the porch and windows. The girls love to watch them. They are everywhere! We also have lizards, dragon flies (one of which Addie has named fluffy) and butterflies galore. We did have an encounter with a snake that Ed quickly took care of. After searching online it wasn't a venemous one, but no the less it's gone now.
